Hello everyone,
My name’s Benjamin Miller, and I’ve been reviewing grounding methods for residential electrical systems, especially in older homes with mixed copper and aluminum wiring. I’ve seen a lot of debate about the most reliable grounding electrode setups — particularly when dealing with outdated water pipe grounds or limited space for ground rods.
I’m curious what methods others prefer when upgrading or correcting grounding in existing homes. Do you typically drive new rods, use Ufer grounds, or rely on supplemental bonding techniques?
Also, how often do you encounter resistance issues that require multiple grounding points to meet code?
I’d appreciate any insights or field experiences.
